hey y'all... if anyone has honor's english next year... LISTEN UP! you have to read [glow=red,2,300]2[/glow] books over the supper right?? a painted house and the hiding place to be exact! here is my advice... read a painted house [glow=red,2,300]FIRST[/glow]. you will go over that book a lot in class, so you don't have to read it as soon as possible before school starts. read the hiding place right before school begins and write your paper then. you will be tested on that book first so the essay will be a great review for you. (oh ya, that book is MUNDO boring!!)
got any other questions?? here to help!

Thanks Kati! That'll probably help, since I know at least one or two people planning on reading both books and writing the papers soon after summer begins. I was planning on doing something of that sort myself. So, The Hiding Place is boring? That's what someone told me........how's A Painted House? Is it good? Mrs. Varnado said it was.

Ew... I hate The Hiding Place. That book is so terribly boring and depressing. I had to read it during 7th grade. I literally fell asleep while reading it, on more than one occasion.

the painted house is okay, except for chapter 8 or 9 i think... don't ask me what is in it, if you want to know, ask jordan or scotty! but yeah, hiding place, SNOREFEST!!! idk bout gifted english, b/c none of the southsiders decided to do it this year... *sigh*... ahhh, well, my question was: why was opa's occupation vital for the success of hiding the jews? y'all? ttly, kati
