unidentified species of native jumping spider. found it by my comp and gave it a cricket with flash these are really attractive, and i was very tempted to keep it, but i decided not to. maybe next year if theres a bunch ill get a few and breed em.

they jump at their prey or can jump away in defense, but can also walk like a normal spider, as with pretty much all jumping animals. wouldnt you get worn out fast if you jumped everywhere?

ill be getting a black widow if i can find something good to keep it in. has to be big, clear, and secure. my mom said if i dont relocate it, shes gonna kill it, so ill have to catch it anyway, and thats gonna be the hardest part. theres one living by our steps and my mom doesnt want it there. pretty big. somewhere in between the size of a quarter and a nickel.

well, if i get bitten you wont be hearing from me any more. black widow bites are lethal. im thinking it might be molting right now, because all ive seen of it for the last few days are its front legs and palps. it had to of came out the other day though, because there was a cricket in its web, now theres not
